If you're like me, finding just the right Mother's Day card is tough to do. You want it to be heartfelt and convey your love for Mom, but you don't want it to be overly sappy. Thankfully, the folks at Hallmark didn't go with THESE cards.

Sometimes, I wonder just who it is the greeting card companies hire to write these cards. I mean, would anybody really say these things to their mom? And don't get me started on some of the 'funny' cards that are out there-- because they often times fall way short of what might actually be considered funny.

Which brings me to another point I've always found funny. Not ha-ha funny, but more like kind of odd. While I've sometimes sent my dad a 'funny' card for Father's Day, I wouldn't dream of sending a 'funny' to card to mom for Mother's Day. I'm not sure why, exactly, because both my mom and dad have great senses of humor. It just feels wrong, I guess-- although I'm not sure why, exactly.

Anyway, I'm not saying all cards are bad, though. Through the years, I've found some that are very heartfelt, and seem to convey the feelings I was trying to express, without being overly sappy or just plain dumb. So they're not all bad.

But THESE cards, however, are. In fact, they're so bad, the quality control folks at Hallmark tossed them right out. You'll be glad they did, too, once you read them.
