The forecast calls for rain tomorrow in southeast Minnesota. It's all part of a storm system that could bring severe weather in other parts of the midwest.

Are your rain gutters clean? Are they hooked up properly to take the rainwater away from your house? Most of the leaves have fallen and if your gutters are plugged, that rain will go over the top of your gutters and down into your homes foundation. That could leave you with a wet basement.

And take it from me, insurance WILL NOT cover your wet basement. They'll cover the SAME water damage if your washing machine blows a hose and floods the basement, but not if it comes from outside.

I've found that the best way to clean them is to take a gas powered leaf blower and walk down the roof to clean things out. Works every time. - Alan
