Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - State Senator Dave Senjem has picked up a challenger.

Democrat Dale Amorosia of Byron has filed for the District 25 Senate seat that has been held by the Rochester Republican since 2002.

A race is also been set up for a seat on the Rochester School Board. Melissa Amundson has filed to run against incumbent Richard Hinds, who filed for reelection Friday along with fellow School Board member Deborah Seelinger. She is currently running unopposed.

Sean Allen has also filed as a candidate for Rochester City Council President. He previously announced his intent to challenge incumbent Randy Staver.

The filing period for the November general election closes next Tuesday afternoon.
