Our SELFIE OBSESSION has now spread to the animal kingdom. And frankly that's sad . . . because they should know better.

A 23-year-old guy was driving through a safari park in England recently, and dropped his phone. Park officials told him to stay inside his car, but eventually returned it. When they did, the guy realized an ELEPHANT had accidentally taken a SELFIE on it. Seriously.

Scott Brierley was driving through a safari park in Worcestershire, England recently, and accidentally dropped his cell phone out of the car while he was trying to take a selfie with some elephants.

Park officials told him to stay inside the car, but they were eventually able to get the phone back and return it to Scott. And when he went through his photos later on, he found one of the ELEPHANTS had taken a SELFIE on it. Seriously.

It makes sense . . . Scott was taking photos when he dropped it, the camera app was probably still open, and an ELEPHANT touched the screen with its trunk. Apparently it wandered over thinking the phone might be food.

As far as we know, this is the FIRST time an elephant has ever taken a selfie. That's a fairly useless milestone, but whatever.
