My poor fur baby Khuno has been extremely sick the last few days. He's always had a very sensitive tummy, so my assumption is that he ate something that did not agree with him. (Like lactose intolerant human mama, like son, right?) I never feed him table scraps, but it never fails, people think it's cool to feed him their food when they are at my house. Here's a list of six people foods that are okay to feed your pup.

The vet has always told me to give him plain, boiled chicken breast to make him feel better. My man said his friend feeds his dog chicken and broccoli EVERY DAY! (Talk about one spoiled pup!) Here's some other recommended foods you can share with your dog.

    Peanut Butter

Totally safe for dogs, as long as you buy the kind that is natural and unprocessed. (Which is the same stuff you should be eating anyway!)

    Cheese

I can't even eat cheese, so I never would have guessed my dog could. But proceed with caution because dogs can be lactose intolerant, too.

    Yogurt

Yogurt is one of the best treats you can give dogs for the same reasons it’s so often recommended to humans: it’s packed with probiotics, vitamins, protein, calcium, riboflavin, zinc and potassium according to mom.me.

    Blueberries

Berries are good for dogs for the same reasons they’re good for us: they’re packed with vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and phytochemicals. Dogs are just as prone as we are to the digestive discomfort that can come from berry over-indulgence, though.

    Salmon

A great source of protein, and it boasts a ton of Omega-3 fatty acids which promote a strong immune system, healthy skin and a shiny coat.

    Sweet Potatoes

One of my faves! I'm so happy I can share my love of them with my pups. Serve it to them just like you eat them yourself, minus all the salt or sugar! Health benefits of sweet potatoes include being loaded with fiber, vitamins and carotenoids.
