60 Degrees On Sunday? Great! But When Will All This Snow Melt?

You've no doubt heard the Weather-Eye forecast on Quick Country 96.5 that says we've got a great looking weekend ahead of us here in southeastern Minnesota, with highs on Sunday near 60!

Which is JUST what we needed on the heels of this winter that just wouldn't end. It's hard to believe April starts on Tuesday-- April!?!

But it does make me curious just how long it's going to take all this snow in our backyard to finally melt.

Our house faces south, which means the late-day sun has done a good job of getting rid of the snow in the front. But the backyard is another story.

And that big pile is courtesy of all the snow I 'raked' off the roof, which just happens to be in the shadow the house casts each afternoon. It really only gets direct sun in the early afternoon, before my neighbor's house to the west of ours casts a shadow.  I'm guessing it'll be here (depending on how warm it gets) until early May.  How's the snow looking in YOUR yard?
