That's right, according to this CBS-Minnesota story, these Hollywood heavyweights all got their start right here in the North Star State. How many of these did you know were Minnesota natives?

+ Jessica Lange, who was born in Cloquet, has two Oscars: A supporting actress Oscar for 'Tootsie' and a Best Actress Oscar for 'Blue Sky.'

+ Judy Garland, originally from Grand Rapids, won a special juvenile Oscar for her work in 'The Wizard of Oz.'

+ Gig Young, a St. Cloud native, won an Oscar for his performance in 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?'

+ Ethan and Joel Cohen, from St. Louis Park, have each won multiple Oscars for their films, 'Fargo' and 'No Country For Old Men.'

And even outside of  the traditional actor Oscars, a couple of Minnesotans have won Oscars for their musical prowess, as well. Like, oh, Prince. The Minneapolis native won an Oscar for his score in 'Purple Rain.'

And, of course, Duluth's own Bob Dylan won an Oscar for his song, 'Things Have Changed' from the movie 'Wonder Boys.'
