Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to a little over 4 years in prison for his involvement in a large brawl outside a Rochester home in June 2013.

20-year-old Anthony Canty earlier pleaded guilty to a first-degree assault charge in connection with the melee, which broke out after Canty and another teenager arrived at the house with a friend who had been asked to leave a party taking place at the residence. During the brawl, one person was struck on the head with a club and suffered a life-threatening brain injury that required emergency surgery.

In addition to the prison time, Canty has been ordered to pay about $78,000 in restitution.
