9 Year Old Buys Smoke Detectors for Needy

I thought this was a cool story. -Alan.    A 9-year-old Texas boy donated $300 to buy smoke detectors for people in his neighborhood who couldn’t afford them.

The boy was saving up to buy a Playstation 4 but decided to donate the money after seeing a news story about a woman and her daughter who died in a house fire.

More than 100 smoke detectors were purchased and the local fire department helped install them.

Two teenagers in his town purchased the game system for the boy and donated another $150 so more smoke detectors could be bought.
