Some people like to relax at the beach or at the spa, but there's a lot of love for the Rochester Public Library (RPL)!

Not only is RPL an award-winning library (they won the National Medal for Museum and Library Service this year!), they're also working on a new look in order to better advertise all of the cool new programs and services they have to offer!

Head of Marketing and Community Engagement at RPL, Karen Lemke, said in a press release that “The library’s old logo has been around since 2006, but a lot has changed since then."

Not only are they changing the logo to reflect the fun and engaging resources they offer, they are also making their website more user-friendly! Specifically, they are working on updating their calendar software so it's easier for people to stay up to date on the latest free classes and events!

“Community members deserve to know more about the resources available here,” says Lemke, “When the resources are fun and engaging, but the visual brand is serious and stagnant, it’s much more difficult to spread the word about the new and innovative services and activities we’re offering.”
