Another Look At A Tribute Artist – Willie’s Shadow! [VIDEO]
This is the second video of a four week series of video's & posts highlighting an old high school buddy by the name of Alan Kohl, and his Willie Nelson tribute act, Willie's Shadow. I was able to capture four videos that I want to share with you here at Quick Country. #OldSkool
Last week on a Wisconsin road trip to visit family members prior to Christmas, I had the distinct pleasure of reconnecting with an old high school buddy from my Alma-mater in Beaver Dam, WI.
Alan is a long-time guitarist who most recently decided it was time to incorporate his voice into the mix. After the dust settled, and after many hours of working-up a repertroire of songs, and playing LIVE in many local area watering holes, private parties, and civic events, Alan’s Willie Nelson tribute act was born!
After leaving the tavern a quickly arranged solo performance in the comfortable confines of his home In ‘Prison City’ (Waupun, WI) made me his only audience on this evening. He played & sang a number of Willie Nelson standards with unmistakable accuracy and passion. I was the lucky one with a camera in hand and able to capture a number video’s. This is the 2nd video in the series. [WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW]

Alan agreed to play the songs on my acoustic guitar Mc Pherson acoustic which I had brought along on this WI road trip. Drop me a note on TWITTER, or in the COMMENTS SECTION below if you like the video. Better yet, throw Alan a LIKE on the Willie’s Shadow Facebook Page!
