Jarvis Anderson of Plainview received the 'Coaches Lifetime Achievement Award' from the Rochester Amateur Sports Commission Monday, January 25, 2016. Jarvis coached in the PEM school district for 49 years (baseball, softball, basketball). He was head Baseball coach for 26 years, with 3 state tournament appearances and 1 state title.

Jarvis was inducted into the Plainview Athletic Hall of Fame and the MSHSL Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame, MN Baseball Association Commissioner & Section 1, Class A and AA Baseball Director. He also started 3 amateur baseball Legion teams and coached Legion baseball for 29 years. Jarvis was presented with the award from Olympic Gold Medal Skater Scott Hamilton. Surprised and obviously humbled with the award, Jarvis gave credit to all those in his life including wife Judy, his children, and God. (Cheryl Nymann-Plainview News)

Kasson-Mantorville's softball pitcher Maddie Damon and RCTC quarterback Nick Rooney took home the top honors for individuals. And congratulations to the Grand Meadow football team for being 'Team of the Year'. They won 3 straight high school football championships.
