Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police have arrested a man as a suspect in an assault and robbery that was reported in the city Friday.  

A police spokeswoman says officers arrested 23-year-old Synika Wagner early Saturday and he is expected to be formally charged on Monday.

 

A man reported early Friday he had met Wagner at a downtown bar Thursday night. The victim says he later left in a car with Wagner and three males. He says he was attacked while still in the car in the vicinity of 14th Street and Viola Road NE. He says Wagner and the others took his wallet and phone, threw him out of the car and drove off.  

The man reported the incident around 5:45 a.m. Friday.  .
