At Home DIY Projects – Repurposing Old Shutters

The other day, the man and I were on a search for a coat rack - we are not plain people though, and wanted something unique! While we did see some fun ones, the price of said ones were just not right. Instead, we decided to contact our inner creative side, and make our own! 

When we moved in to our new house, several old shutters and doors were left behind. Me being the crazy Pinterest lover that I am immediately thought projects, projects, projects. We finally were able to put those shutters to good use yesterday!

What you'll need:
* Old shutter OR a slab of wood
* Spray paint! Depending on color, you may need more than one bottle. I bought a bottle of glitter paint, and it was not enough. The chalky finish red is what we used for this one, and it worked perfectly (one bottle).
* Hooks. You can get any style you want at a craft store. We payed less than $2 for each hook.
