Former "NBC Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams has reached a deal to stay with NBC after his six-month suspension ends in August.

Lester Holt, who has been filling in as the anchor of “Nightly News” during Williams’ suspension, is expected to permanently take over.

It’s not clear Wednesday what Williams’ new job will be, but some reports say that he’ll end up at MSNBC or take on a role similar to Anne Curry after she was booted from the "Today" show. NBC signed Williams to a $50 million deal last year.
