Yesterday, we'd heard that Justin Timberlake apparently violated Tennessee state law when he took a selfie while he was voting. So, is it a violation to do the same thing here in Minnesota?

Well, according to THIS CBS-Minnesota story, no, it's not. Well, it COULD be, but just taking a selfie in the voting booth isn't necessarily illegal here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Here's what's okay: Taking a selfie while in the voting booth of just yourself is completely fine here in Minnesota. As long "as they’re not shown to fellow voters at the polling place or capture another person in the photo," the story said.

So, using those guidelines, even Justin's photo -- which was illegal when it was taken earlier this week in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee -- would still be legal here in Minnesota.

That also means that the picture I snapped during last year's Rochester Public Schools referendum would also be legal. (And, it's actually not even a selfie -- because I didn't show myself in it.)

So, go nuts taking those selfies when you head to the polls next month here in Minnesota. Just don't show it to another voter -- or accidentally include them in your picture!
