Carly Pearce and Michael Ray have performed "When You Say Nothing at All" on several recent occasions. It sounds like that won't be the couple's only collaboration.

All signs point to the two singing together on Pearce's next album. She played coy about it when Taste of Country pushed the topic prior to her releasing "Closer to You" in October, but a few details spilled over when both visited with Taste of Country Nights prior to the CMA AwardsCountry 106.5 WYRK's Clay Moden and Liz Mantel got both of them together at once. The duo asked if the singers were working on anything together.

"What if it's already done?" Peace says before responding with "next year" when asked when people could look for "it."

"One of us is making a new record," Ray adds.

Add that to Pearce saying, "I dunno, there might be some things coming ... we would love to sing together" and there's more than enough smoke to look for a fire. In the end, details are coming at a drip-drop pace, but they were willing to be more frank about holiday plans, with Ray joking (maybe) that he was going to get his love an Amazon gift card for Christmas. They plan to spend Christmas together at his family's house in Florida after taking a cruise with her parents.

You can find Pearce on tour with Russell Dickerson in 2019. Ray's new single is called "The One That Got Away."
