Casting Call for Dogs and Cats in Minnesota

Think your dog or cat has that certain star quality? Could you see them appearing on TV and online in a national pet food commercial? Then you'll want to check out this dog and cat casting call coming to Minnesota this week.

According to a post on sarahbethphotography.com, an open casting call is being held for an upcoming commercial shoot for a national pet food brand. They're seeking "well-trained dogs" and "confident, social cats" this Thursday, August 20th from 5 to 7 pm at 514 Studios, 512 North 3rd Street, Suite 101 in Minneapolis. The open event is for dogs only; the post says to email models@sarahbethphotography.com for information on scheduling a time for your cats to audition.

So, what's required of you and your pets? The post says you must be available on August 26th and 27th; you must be available to travel to Minneapolis and an hour or so around there; dogs must reliably hold a 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'down'; your pets must be comfortable with new people and situations; and they must appear healthy with a clean coat.

And, yes, selected models will "receive compensation" too. That's right, if they're selected, they'll get paid! As will several back-up models, who may or may not be needed but need to be available during the shoot, and will still compensated, as well.
