Just days after receiving a Grammy nomination for his debut solo single "The Driver," Lady Antebellum singer Charles Kelley has abruptly canceled the remaining 2015 dates of his solo tour.

Kelley announced his The Driver Tour in October, revealing a string of club and small theater shows that were to run from Nov. 28 through January of 2016 before wrapping up at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. He was excited at the chance to play smaller venues and offer a more spontaneous set list than recent Lady A tours.

“I’ve played some great shows at arenas and amphitheaters, but I’m definitely looking forward to getting into clubs with people grabbing on your legs and being able to see every face,” Kelley said upon announcing the dates initially. “I can’t wait to get right up there in it with the fans and try out some of this new stuff we’ve been working on. I’m pretty excited about just scrapping the setlist and playing whatever we feel like playing.”

But the tour got off to a rocky start, with Kelley canceling shows in Charlotte, N.C. and Atlanta just days before they were to have taken place. The bulk of the remaining dates have now been postponed, according to a statement Kelley posted to his official website:

A portion of upcoming tour dates is moving to early 2016. For more information on rescheduled dates, check back here. Thanks for your continued support.
Stay tuned for major album release news coming soon!

In an interview with Kelley's opening act, Maren Morris, on Monday, the Dallas Observer noted the tour had been canceled.

Kelley released "The Driver" on Sept. 28, two days before the deadline for Grammy eligibility. The song features guest appearances from Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay, and has earned glowing reviews while so far failing to reach the Top 40 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. It earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, which was announced on Monday (Dec. 7).

Lady Antebellum are currently on a hiatus, and while Kelley is pursuing his solo project, Hillary Scott has revealed that she is working on a gospel project with her family.
