Chris Stapleton has been forced to postpone his concert Tuesday night (April 26) at the Santa Barbara Bowl after losing his voice.

The country singer wrote a heartfelt message to fans who were set to attend the show and apologized for having to cancel:

Dear fans & friends,
I am torn up about having to postpone tomorrow night’s show in Santa Barbara. I’ve lost my voice and am headed to the doctor first thing in the morning. Please know we are working hard to find the earliest possible date we can to get back to you guys. I truly regret having to do this & any inconvenience it may cause. Thanks for your support & understanding. You guys mean the world to me.
Sincerely,
Chris

Stapleton's next show, slated for Wednesday (April 27), has not been rescheduled. No word on any additional tour dates having to be postponed.

The "Parachute" singer has added several tour dates and tours to his schedule in 2016 following the high demand to see him live. Stapleton has had numerous sold-out shows following his multiple CMA, ACM and Grammy wins. Recently, he walked away with six ACM Awards, which tied the all-time record set 25 years ago by Garth Brooks and later by Faith Hill. Stapleton’s wins at the ACM Awards in 2016 included Album of the Year for Traveller as both artist and producer, Song of the Year for "Nobody to Blame" as both artist and songwriter, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Male Vocalist of the Year.
