Here's one  promotion pretty much custom-made for the Med City: A special deal for nurses Wednesday at a popular Mexican restaurant!

It's being called 'Code Burrito,' and it's going on Wednesday, June 14th at Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Rochester, of course, has two Chipotle locations: Near Target North off Highway-52, and near the Crossroads Shopping Center, off South Broadway.

So here's the deal: All day long on the 14th, with a current ID, nurses can get a special BOGO offer. (Which is code for Buy One, Get One, right?)

According to a release from Chipotle, "The BOGO is valid for all types of nurses (RN, NP, CRNA, CNS, CNM, LVN, CAN), who present a nursing license or hospital/medical office nurse ID at any Chipotle location in the U.S. and Canada."

The release goes on to explain that it's just a small way they're trying to recognize the truly unsung heroes in health care-- nurses!

“Nurses take care of people day in and day out and we want to do our small part to take care of them,” said Mark Crumpacker, chief marketing and development officer at Chipotle in the release. “Their jobs aren’t easy, but hopefully this small gesture makes lunch or dinner a little easier and a little tastier,” the release said.

I concur! Here's a big shout-out to all nurses here in the Med City... thanks for all you do! (And save me some chips and guac, will ya?)
