Today is Veterans Day and it's celebrated in other parts of the world, where it is known as either Remembrance Day or Armistice Day. It was on the 11th of November, 1918 that the Germans signed the Armistice to mark the end of the First World War, and therefore, the day became known as Armistice Day. It was signed on the 11th month of the 11th day at the 11th hour. It's a time to say thanks to all the veterans.

Yesterday was the US Marines 240th birthday celebration and while we were at the VFW in Rochester, a young child named Andrew came in with his mom. Andrew took the time to make little 'thank you treats' for the veterans in attendance. They said, "Thank you for your service'. While he was there, he asked for autographs 'from his hero's in the military'. What a great kid! - Alan
