Sure yesterday was nice, and we had a gorgeous weekend, but get ready to break out the sweatshirts and sweaters as the coolest weather we've had in awhile is heading to Minnesota.

While Monday's high temperatures topped out in the upper 70's, it's going to feel much more like fall later this week. And though we won't necessarily see the proverbial frost on the pumpkin just yet, overnight lows are expected to be in the mid to upper 40's both Tuesday and Wednesday night. And that marks the first time since May the mercury has dipped that low.

That's right, according to this Pioneer Press story, overnight lows haven't been this cool here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes since May 19th, when our overnight low temperature dropped below 50 degrees for the last time this year.

And with our high temperatures only expected to top out in the low 60's, there shouldn't be any doubt about it: fall is definitely on the way. And after what seemed like an usually humid August, I'm looking forward to busting out the sweatshirts and putting an extra blanket on the bed. But what say you-- are you looking forward to fall or are you dreading it?
