Council Reverses Decision-Liquor Stores To Remain Open Until 10PM In Rochester

Last night, the Rochester City Council reversed their decision and will now allow liquor stores to remain open until 10pm Monday through Saturday. Hours were until 8pm Monday-Thursday, until 9pm Friday and 10pm on Saturday.
The reversal had to do with an earlier decision that allowed local brewpubs to sell 'growlers' until 10pm. It was later learned that THEIR hours have to be the same as liquor store hours, hence the decision. Only one council member voted against it and that was council president Randy Staver.
