Curt St. John’s Slingshot Race at Deer Creek Speedway

The racing action was hot -- well, maybe that was just the air temperature, come to think of it -- when I got behind the wheel for a special Slingshot race last Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway!

The challenge was on between myself and Evalyn Louise. Neither of us had ever driven one of these high-octane cars before. (And, come to think of it, Evalyn -- who's 9 years old -- had never driven ANY car before.) And all that stood between us and racing glory were five big laps on Button Buck Speedway, located at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley.
