It was another action-packed weekend in southeast Minnesota. Here's how I spent my time:

We got things started Friday afternoon in downtown Rochester at the big St. Patrick's Day party, outside under the tent along Historic Third Street. Even though we got there in the afternoon, It was PACKED with tons of people getting their Luck 'O The Irish on! We had a beer there, then walked down to Grand Rounds Brew Pup to grab a bite. We finished the night with a homemade Old Fashioned, courtesy of an Old Fashioned mix my sister got us for Christmas.

We'd been wanting to streamline and update the audio system for our main TV (we'd been using my nearly 20-year-old receiver and huge speakers), so we bought one of those high-falutin' Bose soundbars. I can't believe how good it sounds for how small it is!

We also made some incredibly-great tasting appetizers from a recipe my wife, Katie, found. They were cucumber-avocado-shrimp bites, and they were really good!

Finally, seeing as it was so nice Sunday, we headed out on a nice 2-mile walk through our neighborhood in northwest Rochester and enjoyed the last day of winter. How was your weekend?
