Curt’s Back-To-Wisconsin Weekend in Five Pictures

I took a few days off last week and headed back to Wisconsin, plus spent some time up in Stillwater, too. Here's what it looked like...

My dad's battling pancreatic cancer, so I headed back home to spend some time with him during one of his treatments. One of the things his doctors said could be helpful in keeping his weight up is whey protein, which you can get online-- or, seeing as it's Wisconsin, at any cheese local factory. Of course, when picking some up, that also means you HAVE to (it's the law there) get some fresh, right-out-of-the-vat, cheese curds.

Once I got back here to southeast Minnesota on Friday, my wife, Katie and I headed up to check out the new Portillo's Hot Dogs restaurant in Woodbury before spending the day in Stillwater. We hit up a couple of breweries, had a lovely drink looking out at the St. Croix River, and drove across the slick new St. Croix Crossing Bridge.
