Curt’s Not-So-Long Weekend in Five Pictures

It might not have been quite as long as 4th of July holiday weekend, but I still had a great time this past weekend. Here's what it looked like:

We started out pretty low-key Friday afternoon while we enjoyed a beverage or two on our backyard deck. Saturday we took advantage of that absolutely gorgeous weather to get in a few miles on the Cascade Lake Loop of the Cascade Creek Trail near our house. (That was after enjoying some coffee on the deck, of course.)

Later Saturday, we headed up to Inver Grove Heights for an 18th birthday party for my wife, Katie's, niece, Cassie. It was a fun time at the very scenic South Valley Park, just off 70th Street in IGH.

Sunday, we got a 2-mile hike in, did our grocery shopping for the week, and then fired up the grill and tossed on some extra-secret recipe Jalapeno Cream Cheese Cheddar burgers I made with our burger press -- they were pretty good (if I do say so myself...)
