My wife and I decided to take advantage of Minnesota's new law and cast our ballots for this year's election over the weekend. But did I commit a big mistake?

As it turns out, this year's election is the first here in Minnesota where you can vote early, using the absentee ballot, without an excuse. (I guess before, if you wanted to vote early, you had to have an excuse -- though, I'm not sure how that worked. Did your mom have to write you a note? Your employer? Doctor?)

This year, though, you can just head down to the early voting center, which, here in Rochester, is located on 3rd Avenue southeast, near the Olmsted County Fairgrounds. We did just that Saturday -- and so did a ton of other folks. While the friendly county employees were working as fast as they could, it still took us over an hour to cast our ballots.

Voter fraud?!?

But, after I sent my ballot through the computerized scanner, I was taking one of those red 'I Voted' stickers as I walked out. Well, when I got outside to the parking lot, I noticed that one of the stickers had stuck to another one, so I had inadvertently taken two stickers.

So now I have two 'I Voted' stickers. Which means it looks like I voted twice! Oops! Is this voter fraud?!? Yikes! Don't tell the Feds!
