One of the many investigations the NFL is currently conducting involves the Atlanta Falcons using fake crowd noise at the Georgia Dome during the past two seasons. Rumors were also rampant that the Vikings used to pump in fake crowd noise at the Metrodome. And now, sportscaster Al Michaels says the Twins did it during their two appearances in the World Series at the Dome, too.

In the Atlanta case, the Falcons were rumored to use the extra crowd noise to distract opposing teams and make it more difficult for them to compete. According to a story in BringMeTheNews.com, sportscaster Al Michaels, who called the Twins 1987 World Series games, says he thinks the Twins added extra crowd noise then, too.

Despite Michaels' accusation, nobody knows for sure what really happened. Although, the story goes on to say that, "The Pioneer Press found a 2013 interview with Bill Lester, the man who ran the Dome as the head of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission. 'There were a few urban myths,' Lester said in the interview. 'They didn’t pump anything extra in.'”

Check out this video from Game 6 of the '87 World Series at the Metrodome. Does the crowd seem a little too loud?
