Dog Retrieves Frisbee – Well, Sort of… [Video]

Rochesterfest is underway, and on Sunday I had the chance to stop out at Lincolnshire Park in northwest Rochester to check out the Minnesota Disc Dog June Dog Jam. It was a beautiful day, and it's cool to see all the different breeds of dogs that go after those flying discs over the course of a day of competition. There were some pretty impressive pups running, jumping, chasing and retrieving discs of all different kinds. However, I don't think any of them had quite the exuberance of this young dog I caught some video footage of with my phone.

I'm no expert when it comes to these shows, but I feel pretty confident that this wasn't how it was supposed to go! Still, it was hard not to smile at the joy this pup was exuding as it was doing things its own way - and grabbing its minute in the spotlight!
