We've all heard horror stories of what happens to pets if you have to fly with them, but aren't buying a separate ticket for them. Yeah, that means they fly in their carriers pretty much as freight, right?

So it's only natural to want to take all the precautions you can to make sure they're safe. You might even stumble on the site DeltaPetTransit.com for some advice.

But, don't. Because it's fake. And not just fake news, but a complete fake site.

And, the real Delta airlines-- one of the major airlines servicing the Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport-- suing the owners of that bogus site. According to this GO-MN story, the site could take some money from you, all while promising to take care of your furry friend.

"DeltaPetTransit.com promises to arrange flight services for pets and solicits payments but actually does nothing, the airline says in the lawsuit," the story notes.

So, if you're going to be flying with your beloved pet, and you're looking for real information from Delta, here are the airline's pet travel options. For real.
