The 60th annual Eagles cancer telethon in Rochester was hugely successful. When the marathon broadcast on KTTC-TV wrapped up Sunday afternoon at the Mayo Civic Center, the pledges and donations totaled nearly $940,000 dollars. That figure is over $35,000 above the final collection total from the 2013 telethon. Over 100 entertainment acts performed during the 20 hour-long event to raise money for cancer research at the Mayo Clinic, the Hormel Institute, and the University of Minnesota.
