Speaker Series at Cascade Meadow Wetlands & Environmental Science Center
Our lakes, rivers, and wetlands help make Rochester one of the nations’ most livable communities. It is in our best interest to keep these water resources clean and usable. Megan Duffey Moeller, Stormwater Educator for the City of Rochester, will let us know how we can “Keep it Clean” for not only ourselves, but also for wildlife like damselflies and dragonflies. Wisconsin Dragonfly Society President Dan Jackson, an avid birder and wildlife photographer, will then provide a fun, informative introduction to the insect order Odonata which includes dragonflies and damselflies. Dan is a dragonfly enthusiast who spends countless hours in the field. He has taken photos of more than 400 species of birds and 120 species of dragonflies and damselflies. He has also led dozens of birding and Odonata field trips and has done many presentations about birding, dragonflies, butterflies, and the art of digiscoping.

This program is co-hosted by City of Rochester Stormwater Management and the Zumbro Valley Audubon Society.
