Additional Information

Join local artist McKay Bram for the premiere of her interdisciplinary dance for film, “Hand Dance Adorned”. Bram is a modern dancer and jewelry designer/metalsmith, and this project combines these two artistic practices. This film features sterling silver jewelry designed and crafted by McKay Bram, which moves and makes percussive chiming sounds during the dance.

The night will open with local jazz musician Chris Bram, followed by poets Mollie Lacy and Danny Solis. The film, “Hand Dance Adorned”, will be shown at the end of the evening, followed by an artist talk and question & answer session with the artist. After the performance, there will be a reception in the lobby of the theater, where original photography by Will Forsman will be featured, along with sketches and pictures from Bram’s design and creation process. The original jewelry featured in the film will also be on display for the reception. Light snacks will be provided by the People’s Food Co-op, and coffee will provided by Cafe Steam.
