Additional Information

Seasons Hospice will host its ninth annual gala fundraiser, “A Live & Love Affair,” on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at a new location - the Rochester International Event Center.  Seasons Hospice changed locations for the first time in nine years due last year’s sell-out event.  Tom Overlie and Robin Wolfram of KTTC-TV will once again emcee.

Chef Chris Hodapp of Pinnacle Catering promises a delicious array of butlered hors d’oeuvres to kick off the evening during a champagne cocktail hour.  Rochester entrepreneur Greg Gentling will be playing ragtime favorites during this portion of the evening.

More than 110 silent auction items will be available for fierce bidding with guests able to use their smart phones or wireless devices to place their bids.  A sampling of silent auction items include four lower level tickets to the Minnesota Wild versus the Toronto Maple Leafs, a one year social membership to the Rochester Golf and Country Club, tickets to the touring production of Motown the Musical with dinner at Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse, a crêpes party for eight and more.

The live auction will include 14 incredible packages ranging from a one week stay at a beautiful home in Big Sky, Montana that sleeps up to 14 to a “Cabaret” theater/dinner package for 20 at the Rochester Civic Theatre to trips to Mazatlan, New York, Key West, Kentucky for a trip down the Bourbon Trail and others.

Dinner will feature a choice of herbed filet of beef and Alaskan halibut or a vegetarian wild mushroom and goat cheese strudel.  A bountiful dessert buffet will include such delicacies as apricot coconut macaroons, flourless espresso chocolate tortes, mini pecan caramel bread pudding and other sweet offerings.  Following dinner, guests will hear comments from Dr. David Agerter, a Mayo Clinic physician and son-in-law of Frank and Delores Loosbrock, both of whom were patients of Seasons Hospice.  Dr. Agerter will talk about the Loosbrock family’s beneficial experience with hospice.

Rounding out the evening will be dancing to the music of the Bruce A. Henry Band, who will be making their seventh appearance at “A Live & Love Affair.”

Tickets are $85 per person; $850 for a table of eight and can be purchased by contacting Seasons Hospice at www.seasonshospice.org or 507.285.1930.  Reservations must be received no later than November 17.

The major sponsor of “A Live & Love Affair” is Think Mutual Bank.  Last year’s event brought in revenue of nearly $140,000 for Seasons Hospice with $35,000 raised during the funding appeal for the first phase of the Seasons Hospice House renovation.
