The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Paul Michael Ohnstad. Police say a car in the inside lane saw Ohnstad in time to stop, but a car in the outside lane didn't have enough time to stop. Ohnstad was taken to St. Mary’s hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police say alcohol was not a factor. The driver who struck Ohnstad was given a breathalyzer test, and it confirmed he hadn't been drinking at all. No citations were issued.
