Goodhue, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Cannon Falls man was among the victims of the fatal crashes that occurred in southern Minnesota over the weekend.

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department says 53-year-old Roy Lindell was driving a motorcycle that went off a curve on a rural road several miles northwest of Goodhue Saturday night. The motorcycle struck a culvert and apparently went airborne, causing Lindell and his passenger to be ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance. 46-year-old Jill Schmidgall of Cannon Falls was listed in fair condition at last report.

Neither Lindell nor Schmidgall were wearing helmets when the crash occurred around 10 PM.

Another motorcycle crash on Saturday claimed the lives of two people from the Mankato area. The State Patrol says 37-year-old Nicholas Bissette of North Mankato was driving a motorcycle the collided with a car in Blue Earth County.

He and his passenger, 38-year-old Corrine Claridge-Bollman of Mankato, were killed.
