There’s much more to the post-Thanksgiving weekend than football and Black Friday shopping. The 30th Annual “Festival of Trees” event takes place this weekend at the Mayo Civic Center’s Exhibit Hall and Lobby. This event is a fundraiser for Hiawatha Homes. Proceeds help provide quality support services to people with disabilities at home and in their community.

In addition to seeing over a hundred beautifully decorated trees, you can also enjoy daily entertainment, visiting with Santa and bidding on several great Silent Auction packages. And if you still want to do some Black Friday shopping, then be sure to stop by the Gift Thyme Shoppe at the Festival. You'll find a wide variety of gift items available for purchase.

Hours for this year’s “Festival of Trees” is Friday (Nov 27) from 11am until 7pm, Saturday (Nov 28) from 11am until 7pm and Sunday (Nov 29) from 11am to 5pm.

Cost is $5 for adults, $4 for tour groups and seniors, $3 for children ages 2 to 12 and babes in arms are free.  There are also various activities taking place each day.   Find out more here.
