Former U.S. Marine Files for Rochester City Council

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A fourth person has filed for one of the three seats on the Rochester City Council that will appear on the November Ballot.

Brittney Marschall has joined Shawn Palmer, Byron Clark, and Mike Walters in seeking the 5th Ward City Council seat held by Mark Hickey, who is not seeking re-election this fall. The field of candidates will be narrowed through a primary election in August. The filing period for candidates seeking elected positions in this year’s election ends next Tuesday.

A news release says Marschall is a former Marine who served a tour of duty in Iraq before coming to Rochester in 2012 and now works for Olmsted County.
