Granger Smith to Fire Off New Album ‘Remington’ in March

Granger Smith has announced the details for his hotly-anticipated major label debut album, Remington.

The Texas-based rising country star recently parlayed the heat from his indie releases and broad touring base into a new deal as a vanguard act on Wheelhouse Records, a new imprint of BBR Music Group. Producer Frank Rogers — whose credits include Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker and Josh Turner — produced Smith's previous EP, 4X4, and he returned to the helm for Remington, which is set for release on March 4.

"My life was such a roller coaster during my time writing and recording Remington, and you can hear that journey in these songs,” Smith says in a press release. “This album is so much of who I am, and I couldn't be more proud to launch this as my first major release. I can't wait for everyone to hear it."

The lead single from Remington, "Backroad Song," currently sits at No. 10 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, and its rapid chart ascent has turned Smith from an indie sensation into one of the hottest rising stars in country music, with accolades pouring in from all over the country music spectrum. iHeartMedia, CBS Radio and Cox Media Group have all included Smith in their respective launch programs, and Taste of Country has named him our No. 1 Hot Artist to Watch in 2016 on the strength of his breakout success.
