Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - It looks like southeastern Minnesota will be dealing with a Groundhog Day winter storm.

The National Weather Service has been watching a storm system the last few days and the latest information indicates it will have its largest impact on most of Iowa, southeastern Minnesota and southern Wisconsin.

The storm is expected to move into the region Tuesday morning.

The Weather Service says the storm could produce heavy snow in some areas with possible totals in the 8-10 inch range. The Weather Service says there may be some changes in snow totals as the storm track could shift.

Strong winds will also develop, which could lead to blizzard conditions in parts of southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.

Travel across the region may become very difficult, if not impossible, by Tuesday evening.
