Happy 80th Birthday KROC-AM 1340!

Today, September 30th, 2015 marks the 80th birthday of Rochester's first radio station, KROC-AM 1340. I have been in the radio business for almost 40 years and am proud to say that I worked at KROC-AM in the late 70's and early 80's.

Back then, we really were 'disc jockeys', with time spent cuing up records and pulling carts for commercials. It was amazing to get it all done between a three-minute record.

KROC-AM is our sister station here at Townsquare Media. Their studio is just two studios away from where I do the show each day. Rich Peterson is the morning host and has been doing his show for many years here in Rochester.

Rich is one of the many people in radio that I've respected for many years and continues to do a great job each day.
