My wife and I disagree about the procedure one should use when you encounter a spider somewhere in the house. But this new product might help us get on the same page.

This spider catcher (or Critter Catcher, as its brand name is known) looks pretty cool, especially if you're like me-- a 'arachnophobic pacifist,' as the video says-- meaning one who usually just tries to relocate the offending spider outside (but doesn't necessarily like touching them), instead of, say, whacking it with your shoe (like, say, my wife might do), then this little tool is for you.

It's basically a brush with a handle that will allow you to pick up the spider that invaded your space, and then put it down outside, all without having to touch it. It looks perfect for me.

I like spiders. They eat insects like mosquitoes and whatnot, so I really don't like killing them just because they've made their way into the house. But using a cup and a piece of paper to capture and release them, though, was kind of a pain-- and didn't always work very well. But now, with this handy tool, moving them outside looks pretty easy!

Are you a fellow 'arachnophobic pacifist'? Check it out...
