While the weather was nice last weekend, I used our extra hour last Sunday to bust out the ladder and do my best elf impression.

Well, it's an elf impression only if elves help decorate your house for the holidays. Which I guess they do, but I digress.

Seeing it was sunny and warm again on Sunday, while I was waiting for the Packer game to start, my wife and I did some fall yard clean-up. We raked leaves, mulched them in the backyard, cleaned out the flower beds and gardens.

And, seeing as it was so nice, I even busted out the ladder and hauled out our Christmas lights and hung them from the eaves on the front of our house.

I was thinking that it might have been the earliest we've ever put them up, but then I got to thinking that it's really not all that early-- it was November 6th when I put them up-- but it seemed much earlier because of how sunny and warm it was.

It was nice to be up on the ladder and not be freezing my fingers, like what usually happens when you put holiday decorations up outside. I still have more to put up on our front door and on our deck, so I'm not out of the woods yet.

And, it should be noted that, outside of testing them to see if they still work, we haven't turned any holiday lights ON just yet-- it's still a little early for that, if you ask me.

Have you put up any holiday lights yet?
