Sure, Spam is big here in Minnesota. No surprise, since it's made in Austin, right? But did you know Hawaiians also love their Spam? They do. So much, in fact, that a local festival all about celebrating Spam took place in Hawaii last weekend.

According to BringMeTheNews.com, Hawaiians really LOVE their Spam. In fact, Hawaiians eat the most Spam per capita-- more, even, than we do here in Minnesota. They also just hosted the 13th annual Waikiki Spam Jam,  an annual Hawaiian festival that celebrates the Minnesota-made tinned meat, with live music, and different local restaurants serving up various Spam dishes.

The story says, "There were over 40 different Spam dishes at the Jam for people to try, including Spam cupcakes, Spam lo mein, Spam Cheesecake – even Spam sushi, the event’s website says."

Here's a look at the Spam Jam, courtesy of one Honolulu TV station: It looks fun-- I wish I was there!
