Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - We won’t need to break out shovels and snowblowers to deal with Sunday’s snow in Rochester but the day will eventually come either late this fall or winter. And another snow-removal service may eventually come to Rochester to help those who hate to shovel.

Hear about this?

It’s an Uber version of snow removal that operates under the name SnoHub.

The company this week sent out notice of its arrival in the Twin Cities.

“SnowHub is looking to partner with 1,000 contractors in the Greater Minneapolis Area. Thousands of customers are waiting for you, use the equipment you have to earn great money, snow plows, snow blowers, snow shovels, salt spreaders. You can reserve 5 jobs in one go!, pick up 10-15 jobs in one storm, GET PAID IN 3 DAYS!”

According to the SnowHub website:

- SnoHub has created a fully automated snow clearing service that makes snow clearing easy, convenient and completely hassle-free.
-  No long-term commitments, snow clearing in a snap.
-  You can book your snow clearing in advance of a storm using the new and improved mobile app. No longer necessary to book a season in advance get snow clearing on demand and only pay for the services you want.

SnowHub was founded by James Albis, who began his career in the snow removal business forty years ago when he shoveled driveways in his neighborhood at the age of ten.

No word yet on when SnowHub will be offered in Rochester.
