According to the Lewiston police Facebook page, the department is hosting a contest to help choose the winning graphics package. There are five different designs for which you can vote, and each Facebook 'like' counts as one vote.

The department also says, if you don't have access to Facebook, you can vote in person at the Lewiston police station, at 75 Rice Street  in Lewiston. The votes will be counted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8.

A story on KTTC.com about the contest says designer of the winning graphics package will receive a prize-- and will get to see their design on Lewiston police vehicles.

I've been a fan of law enforcement since I was a kid (my dad was a police officer for over 30 years back in central Wisconsin), and have always enjoyed seeing all the varying designs different police agencies use on their vehicles. I think it's cool that the Lewiston PD is letting the public vote on what their new design looks like, too.
