We know it gets windy here in the Med City, right? But this week, we all experienced some serious wind. In fact, here's just how windy it was...

In the five years we've lived in our current house in northwest Rochester, we've had some windy days before. Like when it was so windy, the patio furniture on our desk blew into the one of deck lights and broke a light bulb.

Or when it was so windy, our garbage cans blew over along side the garage.

But Tuesday, it was SOO windy in Rochester, the wind blew the cover completely off our grill. Yeah, check it out-- it blew totally off the grill and landed in a heap on the corner of the deck.

It looked like maybe my wife had fired up the grill and then, waiting for it to cool down, didn't put the cover back on. In fact, I even asked my wife what she'd made on the grill.

It was then I realized it was only the wind. Now, I know there are other places that sustained actual damage from the wind. And, thankfully no one was hurt in our recent bout of high winds (even in the tornado that hit Freeborn County.)

I just had never seen the wind blow our cover completely off the grill before. Do you have any wild wind stories?
