Construction in going on pretty much anywhere you look in Rochester these days, including another new building project off 19th Street and West Circle Drive Northwest.

Seeing as my wife and I live not too far off West Circle Drive and Highway-14, we drive by that section of land quite often. (It's off 19th Street, kitty-corner from Five West, just south of Superior Drive).

Earlier this year, we'd noticed that a road had been put in, and when we drove by on Sunday, a sign saying what's coming soon had been put up. (Well, that's when we noticed it. The sign could have been there for awhile, we just happened to notice it this weekend.)

So what is it? Well, according to the sign, the location is soon to be the new home of the second Rochester Altra Federal Credit Union location. However, THIS Post-Bulletin story from not quite two years ago said that Altra had purchased land off 55th Street near Chateau Road (across West Circle Drive from Walmart north.)

But, plans there have changed. What was once going to be a new Walgreen's is now actually going to be a new MedExpress Urgent Care walk-in clinic at that location. So perhaps Altra's plans for a new location changed, as well. Either way, it's set join Altra's existing Rochester location on 16th Avenue southwest.
